A second self that is conscious, independent, and able to act on matter.
Description
The genuine goal of the classical work and, per the sources, of Mo Pai. The yang shen is described as a fully formed spirit body containing the practitioner's consciousness, which can leave the physical body, act on the physical world, be seen by others, and persist after physical death. Where the yin shen is a ghost, the yang shen is a person.
Danaos states plainly that Chang had not achieved this and did not expect to in that lifetime.
